Privacy Policy

Buildr Notes is built by Shabazz Ventures ("we", "us"). This page explains what data Buildr Notes handles, where it goes, and what choices you have.

The short version

• Your notes, drawings, and video attachments live on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your own private iCloud storage.
• Buildr Notes has no accounts, no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no cross-app tracking.
• AI actions are optional. Text is sent for processing only when you tap one.
• We do not sell your data.

Notes and attachments

Notes, handwriting and drawings, and videos you attach are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, Buildr Notes syncs them through your private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit, so they appear on your other devices. That data is stored by Apple under your Apple account. We cannot read it. If iCloud is off or unavailable, Buildr Notes works in local-only mode.

Photos

When you attach a video, Buildr Notes uses the system Photos picker. Only the item you choose is shared with the app. Buildr Notes does not get access to the rest of your library.

AI actions

Buildr Notes offers optional AI actions: rewrite, summarize, suggest a title, suggest tags, and complete text. When you tap one, the relevant note title, body, or selected text is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, hosted on Cloudflare, which forwards it to OpenAI to generate the result. The result is returned to your device.

• We do not store or log the text you send, and we do not use it to train models.
• OpenAI processes the request under its API terms. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models by default and may keep request data for a limited period, typically up to 30 days, for abuse monitoring.
• Cloudflare processes network information, such as IP address, to deliver and protect the request.
• Do not use AI actions on text you do not want sent to these providers.

Diagnostics

Buildr Notes does not include third-party analytics or crash reporting tools. If you opt in to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash and usage reports with us.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or advertising identifier.
• We do not use cookies, pixels, or cross-app trackers.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Deleting your data

Delete a note in Buildr Notes to remove it from your device and, with iCloud sync on, from your iCloud copy. To remove all Buildr Notes data stored in iCloud, open iOS Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Storage, and select Buildr Notes. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device.

Children

Buildr Notes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK, and California, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because your notes live on your device and in your own iCloud account, you can exercise these directly in the app and in iOS Settings. For anything else, email shabazzthevenz@yahoo.com. We do not sell personal information.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the effective date at the top and post the new policy here.
